PC Certify is a robust DOS-based system test program which you can run on any standard IBM compatible PC Computer. It is available in Professional, Burn-In, or Power User versions. No other diagnostic product is available in such a breadth or depth of capability to provide on-the-road, factory, or in-house customer support. Although it runs under DOS and non-NT Windows, it is also provided with its own self-booting DOS kernel, so you do not have to worry about purchasing an operating system.
Full-Scope System Testing
PC Certify contains over 400 individual tests that exercise the entire system (including multimedia) in single or multiple passes and report failures to the screen, printer, and on-disk test log. A batch mode failure flashes the floppy light and a displays a large FAIL message. It runs natively in a factory test network and logs all failures to common or separate log files on the server, provided network drivers are installed. PC Certify provides benchmarks that show how fast the system components are, including CPU, math chip, hard drive, CD ROM, and video memory.
System + Drive Recovery Built In
PC Certify is the only diagnostic we know of that can save and restore the system CMOS RAM and save, clear, and restore the Boot Records (both Master and Logical, even in extended DOS partitions) of all hard drives. This allows you to recover a drive after a boot virus infection, and the system CMOS after virus infection or battery loss. This feature alone can save you hundreds or thousands of dollars in expensive recovery services.
Brutal Memory Testing and RAM Timings
PC Certify's memory tests have been rewritten from the ground up to run over 40 pattern tests on up to 4G of main memory in linear, XMS, or EMS mode. It is the only diagnostic that shows transfer speed of all system memory including cache.
Dynamic Cache Switching
PC Certify is the only diagnostic that dynamically switches the cache on and off, or flushes the cache, to guarantee Main Memory is tested rather than just the cache.

It also displays all installed system SCSI devices, ATAPI devices, and System Management BIOS devices. It can even show you motherboard manufacturer and serial number, and identify what kind of memory module is in which slot.
System Configuration Snapshot Rating Table
PC Certify is the only diagnostic that provides a single-pass snapshot display of the devices installed, and the used/ available I/O and memory addresses, IRQs and DMAs, along with a rating table that shows whether the system needs to be upgraded according to modern technology available. The rating table limits are editable so it stays up to date with modern technology, and still shows whether the system components are Barely Sufficient, Adequate, Superb, or Needing Upgrade, according to the latest standards. You can select which groups of configuration go into the Snapshot Report, and you can define a user entry form for the header and footer to make the report perfect for certification of a system.
