NewsletterMAILING LISTS

What Is This Mailing List Page About?

The purpose of this page is to make it easy for you to subscribe to or unsubscribe from the mailing lists we have established to support our products, customers, and web guests. The lists are targeted to your interests.
  1. PC ToolBin (interactive, for technicians and wannabes) - Forum that deals with general computer issues, as well as PC maintenance tools and related problems and solutions.
  2. Data Recovery (interactive, for anyone) - Forum that deals with disk crash or lost data problems, and with the related tools for the job.
  3. PC Diagnostics (newsletter, for anyone, especially technicians) - Newsletter and special offers related to PC diagnostic and maintenance tools; plenty of technical tips.
  4. Learn On-Line (newsletter, for anyone) - Newsletter and special offers related to on-line training for information technology professionals, and for desktop application users.
  5. Show Guests (newsletter, for our trade show guests) - Newsletter and special offers relating to trade shows and bargains.

These lists are hosted by eGroups. They allow you to specify whether to receive information in your mailbox as each message is posted, in daily digest form, or on the web only. You may visit the web site for each list and view the archives.

Newsletter or Interactive

Periodically, we will send an actual newsletter and other helpful information to all subscribers. The newsletters contains valuable tips for using pc maintenance tools and utilities for troubleshooting and solving PC problems with DOS, Windows, hardware, data loss, and so on. As a subscriber, you can submit your own problems and solutions to the lists for release to other subscribers. In this way you can help others solve PC problems while they help you.

The interactive lists are intended to let you communicate about maintenance tools and computer problems with other list members around the world. You can ask and answer questions freely. We urge you to use good list "etiquette" so that the lists remain valuable and enjoyable for everyone.

No Spam!

That's right.  Just because you subscribe does not mean you will be deluged with junk mail.  The newsletters come out once every month or so, unless a special promotion or new product announcement is released.  The forums are fully interactive, so you will get messages based on the mode (email, digest, web-only) you select at the eGroups site.  However, these lists are spam-protected by the list server.  Your email address is not available to email harvesting by spammers.

Private!

Yes, our lists are private.  We have never divulged them to any outside organization or person, and we intend never to do so.

How to Subscribe to Our FREE Lists

It is easy to subscribe to our  Newsletter and Forum lists.  They are FREE, and they are available in real-time or digest form, or you can just read them on the web. It may be BETTER to subscribe to the DIGEST version because all the newsletter / forum messages are sent in one batch a day, rather than the real-time version that sends you mail every time a subscriber posts a message to the forum.

List Archives

These lists are maintained on the web at http://www.egroups.com. You should visit that site and log in with your normal email address and a password of choice. Then you can set up your personal profile so that you can receive daily individual emails, a daily digest containing all the email messages for the day, a weekly notification of message subject lines, or just read-it-on-the-web capability. You can also make your profile information visible or invisible to others, and you can elect to receive advertisement banners or not. An archive of list messages is kept on the web site, and you may read the archive by clicking on the links inside the "Subscribe" boxes below.

Do It Here

Use the below table to view the archives, subscribe, and unsubscribe to the lists.  Be sure to enter your email address in the appropriate area before clicking the button.  Use the browser back button to return to this page if you wish to subscribe or unsubscribe to more lists.

How to UNsubscribe

It is easy to unsubscribe from any of the lists if you no longer wish to receive helpful troubleshooting information or other postings.  Just enter your email address in the appropriate space above and click on the UNsubscribe button.

Unsubscribing May Not Be Necessary

TRY:  Digest mode...
You can use Digest or Web-Only mode to manage your messages from the lists. If you are receiving too many messages, you do not need to unsubscribe to reduce the number of messages you receive.  Instead, visit the eGroups web site and log in with your email address and password (if you do not know the password, it will be sent to you).  Then visit the list in question and set your message mode to digest or web-only.  That way you will receive only one message a day, or no messages at all (you view them on the eGroups web site).
